DIRECTOR

( GLOSTER CABLES LIMITED )

MR. VINAY RATHI

Q. Can you explain GCL’s current strategies for maintaining its status as a well-known and trusted brand in the power cable segment?

To maintain a well-known and trusted brand in the power cable segment we are practising the followings:

1. Ensuring top-notch product quality and compliance.

2. Innovate with technology and sustainability.

3. Educate customers and offer excellent support.

4. Actively seek and act on customer feedback.

5. Maintain a strong distribution network.

6. Uphold brand values and engage in CSR.

7. Be responsive in crisis situations.

8. Train and engage employees in brand commitment.

Q. What makes GCL’s Fire Survival Cables unique in terms of fire resistance and safety features?

Gloster manufactures a wide range of fire-safe or cables with limited integrity based on various international construction standards and as well as testing standards We offer these type of cables with both Copper & Aluminium conductor, although as per the available standards, copper conductor is only specified for use. We have achieved a certain degree of expertise in using Aluminium conductors and we are therefore able to offer flame temperatures more than the aluminium melting point

Q. What is the significance of the Triple Extrusion Technology used in GCL’s Domestic Wire Segment products?

Triple extrusion technology typically involves the application of three layers of different materials to the wire or cable. This can enhance the insulation properties of the wire, making it more resistant to electrical breakdown and providing better protection against environmental factors. Enhanced insulation and protection can contribute to increased safety in electrical and electronic applications. Wires and cables with superior insulation properties are less likely to short-circuit or malfunction, reducing the risk of fires and electrical hazards.

Q. What are the mechanical characteristics of GCL’s Solar Cables?

The mechanical characteristics of solar cables, including those used in photovoltaic (PV) installations, are important for ensuring their durability and performance in various environmental conditions. Some general mechanical characteristics that are typically important for solar cables:

Tensile Strength: Solar cables need to have a high tensile strength to withstand the mechanical stresses they may be subjected to during installation and operation, such as pulling through conduit or exposure to wind and weather.

Flexibility: Solar cables should be flexible enough to facilitate easy installation, especially in situations where they need to be routed around corners or obstacles. UV Resistance: Exposure to sunlight is common for solar cables, so they should be UV resistant to prevent degradation and maintain their electrical insulation properties over time. Abrasion

Resistance: Cables may come into contact with abrasive materials during installation or if they are exposed to moving parts (e.g., when installed on tracking systems). Good abrasion resistance helps prolong cable life.

Flame Resistance: Solar cables should meet fire safety standards and be flame-resistant to reduce the risk of fire in the event of a fault or damage.

Temperature Rating: Solar cables must have a temperature rating suitable for the expected operating conditions. They should be able to withstand both high temperatures near solar panels and low temperatures in cold climates.

Chemical Resistance: Solar cables may be exposed to various chemicals in the environment, so they should be resistant to chemicals that could cause degradation or corrosion.

Water Resistance: Moisture and water ingress can be detrimental to cable performance, so solar cables should have appropriate water-resistant properties.

Impact Resistance: Cables should be able to withstand mechanical impacts without damage.

Bending Radius: There is typically a minimum bending radius specified for solar cables to ensure they are not bent too tightly, which could damage the cable and affect its performance.

It’s important to note that specific cable manufacturers may have their own product lines with varying characteristics, so it’s essential to refer to the product datasheet or technical specifications provided by the manufacturer for detailed information on the mechanical characteristics of a particular solar cable product, such as “GCL’s Solar Cables.” Additionally, standards and regulations may vary by region, so compliance with local electrical codes and safety standards is crucial when selecting and installing solar cables.

Q. Can you elaborate on the characteristics of the insulation materials used in GCL’s Domestic Wire Segment products?

Domestic Wires are designed with triple extrusion technology with HR-FRLSH+FRLSH+FRLSH layers.

Q. Can you provide details on GCL’s strategies for continuous improvement in human resources efficiency and customer satisfaction?
