Q. As KEI Industries enters its next phase of growth, what is the company’s long-term vision beyond 2025? How do you plan to strategically position KEI in the evolving global cables and wires industry?

At KEI, our long-term vision is deeply rooted in powering a Viksit Bharat—a developed, selfreliant India that leads the global manufacturing ecosystem. Beyond 2025, we aim to become a key global player in the cables and wires industry by expanding our footprint across international markets and aligning with infrastructure growth, clean energy transitions, and digitization across economies. Through sustained innovation, capacity building, and customer-centric solutions, we’re strategically positioning KEI as the “Viksit Bharat Ka Viksit Wire”, a brand that’s Powering India’s Infrastructure Revolution and Beyond.

Q. What role does R&D play in KEI’s growth strategy, and can you share any recent innovations or developments that have emerged from your R&D efforts?

R&D has been the cornerstone of our growth. From fire-retardant and halogen-free cables to our recently launched KEI Conflame Green+, which offers eco-friendly, sustainable safety in wiring, our R&D team continuously innovates to meet the dynamic needs of modern infrastructure reinforcing our commitment to intelligent, sustainable solutions.

Q. KEI Industries reported a huge increase in net sales for the first quarter of 2025. What were the primary factors contributing to this growth, and how sustainable are they in the current market environment?

The surge in net sales can be attributed to robust demand in infrastructure, housing, renewables, and exports. Timely execution, operational efficiency, and our channel partner-driven efforts played a critical role. With a strong order book, domestic project execution pipeline, and global demand outlook, we’re confident of sustaining this momentum especially as India continues its transformative growth.

Q. KEI offers a wide range of products, including power cables, control cables, instrumentation cables, and stainless-steel wires. How does the company ensure innovation and quality across such a diverse product portfolio?

We’ve built a culture of quality that permeates every unit, from procurement to production to delivery. Our integrated ERP systems, automated testing labs, and strict quality benchmarks ensure consistency across SKUs. Each product whether it powers an industrial plant, metro line, or smart home—is engineered with precision and purpose, keeping Viksit Bharat infrastructure needs at the center.

Q. KEI has undertaken brownfield expansions at facilities like Silvassa, Bhiwadi, and Pathredi. How have these expansions impacted production capacity, and what are the future plans for capacity building?

Our brownfield expansions have significantly boosted our capacity to meet growing domestic and international demand. Bhiwadi, for instance, has seen automation-led throughput gains. Going forward, we’re investing in both brownfield upgrades and a major greenfield project at Sanand, Gujarat—poised to become a hub for next-gen, world class wire and cable manufacturing.

Q. In light of global supply chain disruptions, how is KEI ensuring the resilience and efficiency of its supply chain, particularly concerning raw material procurement and logistics?

We’ve strengthened local sourcing, developed alternate vendor networks, and increased inventory buffers to reduce risk. Our digital logistics platform now provides real-time visibility, enabling better response to market volatility. This agile supply chain framework ensures our wires reach the remotest corners of the country and global clients without delay.

Q. KEI Industries has outlined significant capital expenditure plans, including brownfield expansions and a greenfield project at Sanand. How do these investments align with the company’s longterm growth objectives?

Our capex strategy is in sync with our vision: to double revenues, expand exports, and become a leader in green and smart cabling. The Sanand greenfield plant is a strategic step in building future-ready capacity focused on renewables, electric mobility, and exports reinforcing our pledge to power the aspirations of a Viksit Bharat.

Q. With the growing global emphasis on renewable energy, how is KEI Industries strengthening its position in the solar cable segment? Are there any upcoming innovations or product lines tailored specifically for solar and other green energy applications?

We’ve significantly scaled our solar cable capacity and are developing high-efficiency, low-loss cables tailored for utility-scale solar and hybrid clean energy projects. Our Green+ range, which includes halogen-free, RoHS-compliant cables, reflects our eco-conscious philosophy. As India leads the global green energy transition, KEI stands at the forefront ensuring that clean energy flows through clean, reliable wires. From metro lines to megacities, homes to high-rises, solar parks to smart factories— KEI continues to power every milestone of India’s journey. We’re not just building wires. We’re building a future. One circuit, one connection, one Viksit Bharat Ka Viksit Wire at a time.
