PM laid the groundwork for four power projects in Uttar Pradesh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today laid the foundation stone for four projects being developed by Torrent Power in Uttar Pradesh, which will require an investment of about Rs 25,000 crore. These projects are anticipated to generate both direct and indirect employment opportunities for approximately 8,000 individuals in the state, Torrent Power Group said in a statement.

As per the statement, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Uttar Pradesh for these projects was signed by Torrent Group during the 'UP Global Investors Summit' 2023. The laying of the foundation stones for four projects of the Torrent Group was part of the country's biggest ground-breaking event, GBC 4.0, which took place in Lucknow on Monday.

The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of more than 14,000 projects in various sectors, the statement said. The initiatives were started in the presence of Governor Anandiben Patel of Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.
