NTPC records a roughly 12% increase in electricity production for the February through April fiscal year.

Stated-owned power giant NTPC on Monday said that it has logged nearly 12% growth in electricity generation 346.2 billion units in April to February period this fiscal compared to year ago. “NTPC Ltd registered 11.92 percent growth in generation i.e 364.2BU in FY23 till February month compared to the countries generation growth of 9.56 percent”, a company statement said.NTPC continues to demonstrate and increasing friend in coal production from its captive mines.It started that the NTPC active coal production stood 2.6 million Matric tonnes (MMT), test registered are robust growth of 80% and 97% respectively, in February vis a vis previous corresponding year.On a cumulative basis, production cross 20 MMT in FY23, it started.NTPC has taken various steps to augment the coal production from its coal mines engagement of high capacity dumpers as well as increase in the existing fleet size of excavators has allowed the operation and mines to increase their production its stated.The NTPC group Installed capacity stands 71,594 MW.
