19 Sep 2025
The Chhattisgarh State Power Transmission Company Limited (CSPTCL) has commissioned a 60-km long 132 kV double-circuit transmission line between Dongargaon and Mohla, at an estimated cost of ?6 crore.
The new line is expected to significantly enhance electricity reliability in the tribal and forested areas of Rajnandgaon district, benefiting more than 250 villages. By improving voltage stability and reducing outages, the infrastructure will support rural electrification, agricultural needs, and overall socio-economic development of the region.
Officials noted that the project will add redundancy to the network, ensure smoother supply during peak demand, and reduce the risk of disruptions caused by single-line failures. The commissioning of this line marks another step in CSPTCL’s ongoing efforts to expand and modernize the state’s transmission network.
