The Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) has inaugurated a new production line dedicated to manufacturing high-voltage (HV) and ultra-high-voltage (UHV) electricity transmission towers in Egypt.

The facility is designed to strengthen the country’s power transmission infrastructure, supporting the government’s efforts to modernize the grid, enhance energy security, and meet the growing demand for electricity. Officials noted that the new line will also reduce reliance on imports and boost local manufacturing capabilities in the power sector.

 

By producing towers capable of handling HV and UHV networks, the AOI aims to support both domestic projects and regional export markets, positioning Egypt as a key hub for advanced energy infrastructure manufacturing in Africa and the Middle East.

The initiative is expected to create new jobs, encourage technology transfer, and contribute to Egypt’s broader strategy of becoming a regional leader in sustainable energy and industrial development.
